Solid Wood Flooring
As one of the most versatile floor coverings you get durability and timeless elegance that only comes with a solid wood floor. Solid wood floors also have practical advantages as they are warm to touch, easy to clean, hygienic, dust free and especially good for people with allergy and asthma. Also once properly maintained they can last for generations.
Marble Flooring
Marble cleaning, restoration and polishing are highly skilled procedures and should not be confused with mere cleaning. A combination of etching and staining, scratching and general wear is what actually makes most natural stone floors look dull and dirty and lack lustre. The floor needs a restoration specialist like W. Robin & Son that knows how to get your floors looking beautiful again. We can restore your floors to as-new condition.
We start by giving the floor a thorough cleaning using a specialist intensive cleaner, we then use a combination of diamonds and abrasive disks to remove a layer from the surface of your floor, removing the scratching which was making the floor look dirty and lifeless. We then start the process of using diamonds, abrasives and polishing powders, carefully honing and polishing the surface to bring to any finish you desire. We then professionally seal the entire floor with a commercial grade penetrating sealer to help protect it against future staining and damage. We use the very best system and the finest restoration materials to ensure you get the very best job and the very best finish, every time.
Floor Sanding & Maintenance
We can re-sand and seal all types of flooring and finish with everything from lacquers to wax oil finishes and we can colour the floors to whatever your requirements with colours ranging from oak to walnut.
We can also repair damaged hardwood floors and remove any staining as required. If you have a problem with a floor we can assess the floor, provide insurance quotes and advise on the best course of action.
Woodblock and Parquet Flooring
Parquet flooring is a wooden floor made from many pieces of wood fitted together in a mosaic or puzzle, and it can be as large as a ballroom or as small as a utility room. Parquet is made from different types of wood with varying grains to create a unique and eye catching pattern.
Classic woodblock/parquet flooring patters include herringbone, basket and brick style flooring. It is made from solid pieces of wood cut in a tongue and groove pattern so that they can be fitted together. Because the floor is solid all the way through it can be sanded down and resurfaced due to wear and tear.
